It takes a village event
It takes a village event
Today on 20 September 2025, there was an event organised by Woodlands Botanical Gardens called, "It Takes a Village". We were happy participants of the event.
There were six booths, one of which was to arrange seeds in your own patterns. I used white, red and black beans to arrange mine, while my father used a mix of cinnamon sticks, pine cones, star anise and green seeds.
The end product was wonderful!
The booth's station master of the seed pattern making booth also told us that he likes of collect seeds amd some of the seeds he collected were from other countries. He also shared with us that when pine cones are ripe, they open and the seeds inside it disperse.
We also tried our hands on scent-bag making and paper-flower making. By the end of three booths, we could redeem a goodie bag!
Not to mention, at the top of the hill of Woodlands Town Park East, there was also a live band playing Cantonese songs, and a spot-the-flower activity.
Here are the other pictures around the garden from the event. I'd recommend my friends and family to go for their events if they like nature and if its not too far for them!
